PHL EMBASSY IN DHAKA COMMENCES OVERSEAS
ABSENTEE VOTING FOR 2019
13 April 2019, Dhaka – In line with the Overseas Absentee Voting Act or Republic Act no. 9189, the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh commences the overseas absentee voting- personal voting for the 2019 National Election today, 8:00 AM (Bangladesh time). This is the second personal voting in the country.
On 11 April 2019, Phl Embassy in Dhaka’s Special Board of Reception Group (SBRCG) and Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) had the oath taking ceremony before taking over their functions on the 2019 National Election. END.

25 March 2019, Colombo – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka with concurrent jurisdiction over Sri Lanka and Maldives conducted the 1st Mobile Consular Mission for 2019 in Sri Lanka 23-24 March 2019 at the Colombo Hotel Residences. With the assistance of the Filipino community leaders and Philippine Consulate staff in Colombo, the team processed a total of 76 passport renewals and 11 consular documents. Passport validity extensions and consultations to the Filipinos were also provided. END.
