Certain foreign nationals belonging to this list are allowed to travel to the Philippines for business and tourism purposes, without visas, for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days, provided they hold valid tickets for their return journey to port of origin or next port of destination and their passports valid for a period of at least six (6) months beyond the contemplated period of stay. This list includes nationals of Maldives.
Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan nationals require visas to travel to the Philippines, especially for leisure and tourism.

I.VISA APPLICATION PROCESS (HOW TO APPLY)
Bangladeshi nationals who are applying for 9A visas (tourism or business purposes, or to attend meetings or join study tours) are requested to submit their application through https://www.visa.gov.ph
Sri Lankan nationals may apply with the Philippine Consulate General in Colombo, which may be contacted here.
Maldivian nationals who are going to the Philippines for tourism and business purposes or to attend meetings or join study tours are visa-free. All others must apply with the Philippine Consulate in Male, which may be contacted here.
TOURISM 9(A)
- Accomplished and signed VISA APPLICATION FORM (which may be accessed and filled-up at: https://www.visa.gov.ph)
- Passport (valid not less than six (6) months from date of travel)

TO STUDY 9(F)
Students must coordinate with their schools in the Philippines for the requirements. The Philippine Embassy will only issue visas upon receipt of authorization from Manila.
PROCESS
- The foreign student shall communicate directly with the school in the Philippines and comply with the school’s institutional requirements
- The school will issue a Notice of Acceptance (NOA) to the student and submit a duplicate copy, along with the following documents: certified true copy of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)’s Certificate of Eligibility of Admission and the school’s requirements to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)
- The DFA endorses the documents to the Philippine Embassy in Bangladesh (Dhaka PE)
- Dhaka PE will notify the student in writing of the receipt of the documents and require him/her to appear in person before a Consular Officer for interview and to comply with consular requirements
REQUIREMENTS

- Original Notice of Admission (NOA) of the school, with clear impression of the educational institution’s dry seal
- Original Certificate Admission of Eligibility (CEA) issued by the Commission for Higher Education (CHED), if enrolled in courses or programs where restrictions may exist due to shortage of facilities, as in Medicine or Dentistry
- Police clearance issued by the national police authorities in the student’s country of origin or legal residence, authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate with consular jurisdiction
- Medical health certificate issued by an authorized physician including, but not limited to, standard-size chest x-ray, hepatitis B clearance

EMPLOYMENT 9(G) | 47(A)(2)
Employees are enjoined to coordinate with their employers in the Philippines for the requirements. The Philippine Embassy will only issue visas upon receipt of authorization from Manila.

BANGLADESHI NATIONALS WITH DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL PASSPORTS
Those coming to the Philippines for temporary visits (tourism, pleasure, attending seminars, conferences, meetings) may enter without entry visas for a period of thirty (30) days.
Those who are proceeding for assignment in the Philippines may stay without visas for a period of thirty (30) days. After which, they are required to obtain the appropriate 9(e) visas and other necessary accreditation from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) within thirty (30) days.
