Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh and non-resident Ambassador to Sri Lanka, H.E. Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo attended as Chief Guest of the Oath taking Ceremony of the newly-elected officers for 2018-2019 of the Association of Filipinos in Sri Lanka (AFSRIL) on 23 March 2019, 7:30PM, at Hilton Colombo Residences, Sri Lanka.  AFSRIL, mostly composed of Filipino workers in Sri Lanka, has been existent for more than twenty years, helping other Filipinos in distress in the country.  There are currently two active organizations in Sri Lanka: AFSRIL and PLA (Philippine Ladies Association).
