PH EMBASSY IN BANGLADESH CONDUCTS BREAST, CERVICAL AND PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS FOR FILIPINOS
15 March 2019, Dhaka - The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh celebrated International Women’s Day with its first activity this year under Gender Awareness and Development Program, “Breast, Cervical and Prostate Cancer Awareness”. A total of 81 participants attended the seminar, 51 women and 30 men. The resource speakers talked about the statistics of these cancers, possible causes, tests/screening and types of procedures/operations. Both speakers encouraged everyone to maintain a healthy lifestyle, talk to a doctor and undergo regular tests/screenings.
1st CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSION IN MALDIVES FOR 2019

09 March 2019, Male - The 1st Mobile Consular Mission for 2019 took place on 08-09 March 2019 at the Philippine Consulate in Male, Maldives. A team from Philippine Embassy in Bangladesh with concurrent jurisdiction over Sri Lanka and Maldives, headed by Ambassador Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo, conducted the passport renewals, passport validity extensions and provided consultations to the Filipinos during the 2-day mission. A total of 116 passport renewals and 9 consular documents were processed.
