LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF “PHILIPPINES’ER LOKOKAHINI”
14 September 2019, Dhaka – The Philippine Embassy in Bangladesh led the launching ceremony of “Philippines’er Lokokahini” held at Hotel Ascott Palace, Dhaka.
The Philippines’er Lokokahini (Philippines’ Folk Tale) is a Bengali-translated book of Philippine folk tales written and translated by Mr. Ivan Gomez, CEO of the Diplomatic Spouses, in coordination with Mr. Ehsaan Mahboob, Managing Director of Banglaprakash Publisher.
The event included singing of folk songs and reading of passages from the book involving members of the Philippine Embassy and the Filipino Community.
The program was attended by Heads of Missions and Members of Diplomatic Corps, and representatives of Filipino and Bangladesh organizations. END.

PHILIPPINE OUTBOUND BUSINESS MATCHING MISSION VISITS MAJOR RETAILERS IN BANGLADESH
03 September 2019, Dhaka - The Philippine Outbound Business Matching Mission (OBMM) met with executives of three major retailers in Bangladesh, namely, Agora, Shwapno and Chaldal.com. The delegation was briefed on the process and means for their products to be hosted on the retailers’ shelves and was able to visit the stores of Agora and Shwapno for market research. END.

03 September 2019, Dhaka - The Philippine Outbound Business Matching Mission (OBMM) to Bangladesh paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Information and Communication Technology State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
Both the Bangladesh ICT Division and the OBMM delegation agreed to work together in sharing best practices, strategies and approaches on nurturing and developing Startups and encouraging technological innovations. The DTI delegation viewed startup Bangladesh and their accelerator, where aspiring tech companies can collaborate with established entrepreneurs, academies, financial institutions and the government to grow.
