The Naseberry was also brought into the Philippines by the Galleon trade from Mexico. It is often referred to as the smaller Sapote, hence it was named “Chico” (Spanish for ‘small’). It has a brown skin and pulp.

Ang Chico ay isa ring punong bunga na dala ng kalakalang Galyon mula sa Mehiko. Itinuturing ito na maliit na Sapote, kaya’t tinaguriang chico (maliit sa Espanyol). Kayumanggi ang balat at laman nito.
