25 March 2019, Colombo – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka with concurrent jurisdiction over Sri Lanka and Maldives conducted the 1st Mobile Consular Mission for 2019 in Sri Lanka 23-24 March 2019 at the Colombo Hotel Residences. With the assistance of the Filipino community leaders and Philippine Consulate staff in Colombo, the team processed a total of 76 passport renewals and 11 consular documents. Passport validity extensions and consultations to the Filipinos were also provided. END.

PH EMBASSY IN BANGLADESH CONDUCTS BREAST, CERVICAL AND PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS FOR FILIPINOS
15 March 2019, Dhaka - The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh celebrated International Women’s Day with its first activity this year under Gender Awareness and Development Program, “Breast, Cervical and Prostate Cancer Awareness”. A total of 81 participants attended the seminar, 51 women and 30 men. The resource speakers talked about the statistics of these cancers, possible causes, tests/screening and types of procedures/operations. Both speakers encouraged everyone to maintain a healthy lifestyle, talk to a doctor and undergo regular tests/screenings.
