22 March 2018 DHAKA – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh represented by Third Secretary LV de Guzman and the Embassy’s Gender Awareness & Development Focal Point Officer Ms. Joany Margallo-Lucas called on the Sri Lankan’s Ministry of Women and Child Affairs Directors Ms. W.P.C.M Upasena (Women’s Bureau of Sri Lanka) and Mr. J.G.S. Jayasinghe (Planning) on March 14 to introduce the Filipino spouses to Sri Lankan nationals living in Sri Lanka and to discuss issues on the laws, policies and programs in the Sri Lanka aimed at protecting the rights of women. 18 March 2018 DHAKA – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh organized a “FUN RUN: a get-together of Empowered Women and Supportive Men” at Baridhara area on March 09 in celebration of the International Women’s Day and Philippine Mandate’s 2018 National Women’s Month. The program started in front of the Embassy chancery and was officially opened by Madame Alma Maria A. Bandillo, spouse of the Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh, Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo.
