PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN BANGLADESH REPATRIATES FILIPINOS IN MALDIVES
25 April 2020, Dhaka – The Philippine Embassy in Bangladesh, the Philippine Consulate in Malé, and with the help of the Filipino Community organizations in Maldives, facilitated today the successful repatriation of three hundred thirty six (336) Filipinos from Maldives.
Filipinos who joined the flight experienced job losses and many uncertainties due to the situation brought about by COVID–19. They expressed appreciation that a flight back to the Philippines was made possible for them during this difficult situation.
The Embassy has also worked closely with the Philippine Airlines for this repatriation. END.

NATIONAL DRESS PARADE
29 February 2020, Dhaka – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, together with the Filipino Community organizations participated in the International Food Festival and National Dress Parade on 29 February 2020 at the Australian International School.
The event was organized by the Diplomatic Spouses headed by Mr. Ivan Gomez, the association’s CEO & Newsletter Editor. The Philippines presented Barong Tagalog and served select Filipino dishes at the event.
