Dhaka, 27 April 2025 — The Philippine Embassy in Bangladesh proudly participated in the vibrant Beautiful Bangladesh Run 2025, a major event that brought thousands of runners together at Hatirjheel, Dhaka. Organized by the Association of Travel Journalists of Bangladesh (ATJFB) and powered by the Bangladesh Tourism Board, the event celebrated health, fitness, and national pride while breathing new energy into one of Dhaka’s most scenic urban landscapes.
Leading the Philippine delegation was Her Excellency Nina P. Cainglet, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Bangladesh, who also inaugurated the Love the Philippines booth—a colorful showcase promoting the Philippines as a top tourism destination. The booth highlighted iconic Filipino destinations, featuring the powdery white sands of Boracay, the enchanting lagoons of Palawan, and the timeless beauty of the Banaue Rice Terraces. Filipino music, giveaways, and vibrant visuals warmly welcomed Bangladeshi runners and visitors throughout the day.
In an interview during the event, Ambassador Cainglet shared, “It is truly inspiring to witness the energy, unity, and pride of the Bangladeshi people through the Beautiful Bangladesh Run—an event that celebrates not just health and fitness, but also the vibrant soul of this nation. As we run together towards a future of stronger bonds and deeper friendship, I warmly invite our Bangladeshi friends to explore and love the Philippines—where every island is a celebration of nature, culture, and heartfelt hospitality."
She further emphasized the strong values shared by the Philippines and Bangladesh—resilience, love for nature, and community spirit—which form a natural foundation for growing people-to-people ties and tourism exchange.
