04 November 2022 - As Bangladesh enters the winter season, the Philippine Embassy in Bangladesh joined the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Cup of the Filipino Community’s Basketball League.

Basketball is a highly popular sport among Filipinos and is said to be ingrained in the identity and culture of the Filipinos. Through the combined efforts of the two Filipino Community Organization in Bangladesh – the Philippine Society in Bangladesh (PSB) and the Filipino Grand Alliance in Bangladesh (FGAB) – the Filipinos in Bangladesh are once again given the opportunity to participate, compete, and enjoy a sport that is very close to the heart of the Filipinos.

The Basketball League’s Winter Cup will last from November 4 to December 2, 2022.
