10 August 2022, Dhaka – In view of expanding linkages with various institutions and organizations based in Bangladesh, the heads of ASEAN Member States’ diplomatic missions in Bangladesh visited the headquarters of the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific of CIRDAP and called on its Director Genera, Dr, Cherdsak Virapat.

Cirdap is a regional and intergovernmental organization that was established on 06 July 1979 at the initiative of the countries in the Asia-Pacific regions and of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (UN). CIRDAP is focused on the promotion of integrated rural development especially among developing counties through regional cooperation and technical capacity building trainings, among others.

The Philippines is a member of CIRDAP. The link institutions that coordinated with CIRDAP is the Philippines’ Department of Agrarian Reform.
