10 May 2022 - Ambassador Alan L. Deniega called on the second-ranking official of the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), State Minister Shahriar Alam, MP, yesterday. 

Various topics were discussed during the call, including how to advance Bangladesh's relations with ASEAN, and the sharing of experience between the Philippines and Bangladesh in diverse areas such as maintaining peace and order and disaster management. 

Expanding trade partnership, including through FTAs, was also discussed.

Ambassador Deniega also invited the State Minister to the Embassy's upcoming celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Bangladesh.
