As part of the Philippine Embassy’s thrust of promoting business relations with Bangladesh, Ambassador Alan L. Deniega met today with the president of the Bangladesh-Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BPCCI), Engr. Akber Hakim, in order to discuss the plans and projects of the chamber for 2022. 

The last two years have seen a slowdown in business ties among many nations due to the COVID-19 situation and various lockdowns. However, with the situation vastly improved, Mr. Hakim said that it is high time to accelerate economic relations between the Philippines and Bangladesh.

The meeting focused on various activities lined up for the rest of the year, including various important calls, and the proposal to organize a conference on the economic and trade potentials between Bangladesh and Southeast Asia.
