28 April 2022 - In furtherance of maintaining close ties with other missions in Dhaka, Ambassaor Alan L. Deniega met with H.E. Lilly Nicholls, the newly arrived High Commissioner of Canada, in the Philippine Embassy.
Ambassador Deniega, whose previous posting was in Ottawa, had a fruitful discussion with Ambassador Nicholls, a very accomplished diplomat who is also an expert in economics and development. The discussion ranged from the diplomatic work in Dhaka, to the thrusts of their countries and the role of ASEAN in Bangladesh.
Interestingly, it was mentioned by Ambassador Nicholls that her son loves on famous Filipino delicacy. There is a large presence of Filipinos in Canada, the next largest Filipino community after the USA.
