On his second visit to the CORR-The Jute Works, Philippine Ambassador Alan L. Deniega and his team visited the showroom of this Bangladeshi social enterprise on 19 November 2021. 

CORR, which stands for Christian Organization for Relief and Rehabilitation and is now known as Caritas Bangladesh, is a registered Fair Trade Trust organization producing and marketing handicrafts made by rural women artisans. Handicrafts are exported to different foreign markets in favor of the poor and grassroots women artisans to ensure fair wages and enable them to live a dignified life. 

Ambassador Deniega recognized the craftsmanship of the artisans, and commended the organization’s thrust and mission to empower women and the marginalized.
