In order to further deepen Philippine trade and investment relations with Bangladesh, Ambassador Alan L. Deniega met with Mr. Clinton Yeung, Project Manager of Liwayway Food Bangladesh, which is connected with the Filipino-owned food manufacturing company, Oishi.

Oishi started the construction of its food manufacturing facility in Bangladesh in 2019, after successful investments in countries such as Cambodia, Myanmar, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and China. 

During the discussions, Mr. Yeung expressed optimism about the market prospects in Bangladesh, with its huge 165-million population. Ambassador Deniega also expressed the Embassy’s support to the Filipino company.
