YOUNG FILIPINO ARTISTS WIN TOP PRIZES AT THE ANNUAL NATIONAL CHILDREN’S ART COMPETITION AT THE INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE INSTITUTE IN BANGLADESH
24 February 2019 – Young Filipino artists won the First and Third Prizes in the Foreign Children Categories of the Annual National Children’s Art Competition at the International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) on 23 February 2019.
The Philippine Embassy, in coordination with the IMLI, facilitated and supported the participation of young Filipino artists aged 4 to 15 in the annual national art competition. This is the first year that Filipino children joined the competition.
During the closing ceremony, Fahim M. Rabbani and Samantha R.F. Miji received the First Prizes while Jacob Nathan Lumang and Liana K. Anisuzzaman received Third Prizes, both in the Foreign Children categories.
The art competition for children is a major annual event organized by IMLI to celebrate language diversity and promote love for one’s mother tongue. END.
