Charge d’Affaires De Guzman also met with officials of the Maldives Labour Relations Authority (LRA) and the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to discuss issues relating to the protection of the rights of Filipino nationals in the Maldives.
The Embassy and the LRA held discussions on a joint project aiming to enhance the awareness of Filipino nationals working in the Maldives on Maldivian labor laws and procedures.
The Embassy and the Attorney General's Office discussed the importance of maintaining friendly links between the Embassy and the AGO, and exchanged information on specific law provisions covering the rights and options of convicted foreign nationals in the Maldives. END.
