The “Pistahan” featured authentic cuisines of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, served in different booths of the Filipino Grand Alliance in Bangladesh, Philippine Society in Bangladesh, and Philippine Bangladesh Association, respectively.
A friendly competition for the best booth and best in Philippine costume was announced in the latter part of the program.
The event gathered more than a hundred Filipinos and a good number of Bangladeshis, who came to participate in Filipino games, and enjoyed eating and bonding with friends in an atmosphere that reminded them of fiesta celebrations in the Philippines.
The day started with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and concluded with a lunch rendered by the Embassy. END.
