Philippine Honorary Consul in Chittagong and BPCCI President Mohammed A. Awwal opened the seminar while Keynote Speaker Professor Mustafizur Rahman discussed the importance of deepening Bangladesh Philippines economic cooperation.

The panelists examined the strengths and opportunities of the Philippines and Bangladesh in conducting economic diplomacy. Among the panelists were Ambassador Humayan Kabir, former Bangladesh Ambassador to USA; Ambassador Maj. Gen. John Gomes (Retd), former Bangladesh Ambassador to the Philippines; Dr. M. Masrur Reaz, Senior Economist & Program Manager World Bank Group; Mr. Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Country Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh; and Mr. Kamran T. Rahman, President of Bangladesh Employers Federation.

Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo was a Special Guest during the event while Secretary Shubhashish Bose of the Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh was the Chief Guest. END.
